For us the year 2006 was one for "paving the way for creation of a corporate
culture that contributes to global social development through manufacturing."
Under this slogan we bent our energies steadily to "building of human resources
and product quality." On a consolidated account basis, our sales for fiscal
2005 ended March 2006 was ¥48,773 million, the operating profit was ¥3,452
million, recurring profit ¥3,394 million, the net profit was ¥2,161
million. For the last year of the second mid-term business plan we achieved the
highest sales and profit in our corporate history.
The third mid-term business plan was started in April. For half of fiscal 2006,
sales were ¥23,182 million, the operating profit was ¥1,221
million, recurring profit ¥1,016 million, and the net profit was ¥480
million. With holding a slogan "Aiming at a reliable global supplier (manufacturing
is attained from the development of human resources)", we will tackle with
8 tasks: development of human resources, quality-first operation, building of
overseas capacity, improvement-proposing sales force, overall cost restructuring,
development of new products, strengthening of environmental control, and strengthening
of the internal control system. In 2007, we will take a more aggressive, forward-looking
attitude, speeding restructuring and decision-making.
In the second year of the third mid-term business plan we will promote our business
centering on the "building of human resources and product quality."
We will not only succeed to and make use of tangible and intangible assets of
your company but make them grow by adding new values. Amidst mounting worldwide
competition we will further hone out manufacturing skill and develop new rewarding
products speedily and timely in an attempt to limitlessly adding to the value
of your company.
